Should I watch GoT?

Why is Game of Thrones so popular, and is it really worth watching it?
I mean I am into that medival stuff an all but I kinda feel rejected by the show, I mean it doesn't interest me so much. Might it be due to it's popularity?
What's the biggest positives for you in this show?

Why is it so popular? Well imagine this... Each episode you watch is the same quality as a 9/10 rated movie. Yes, I order HBO specifically just to watch game of thrones. And the biggest positives for me in this show are the characters and the story. They are both top notch. Which makes this in my opinion, the best show on TV.

Well, I'm also into the GoT stuff, but did not order HBO yet. I'm afraid I'll get addicted to watching the shows when I have access

You probably will lol. It's ok though... Each season is one full year apart. And we coming up on the end of GoT soon so.
