Is metal of today just weak?

I don't see any more amazing metal bends with amazing lyrics, it's just those wanna be metal skinny dudes who sing about how they hate america or something like that. What do you think of todays metal music?

I would tend to agree with you. I think most modern #metal #music kinda sucks. Less focus goes into the quality of how they play their instruments these days. While more focus goes into screaming. But its not all bad though. I do enjoy some newer metal bands.

Yes it really is weak. They just do not make music like they used to!

Yeah it's not like all are bad, its just kinda not the things you expect, I know I am stereotyping but when a genre changes its core well it should be called something else. That's why I think we have all those subgenres xD
What band would you recommend?

There are very few metal bands around today. This music genre kind of disappeared into obscurity over the years.

I am total newbie to heavy metal music.

So, I kind googled top metal band and came across black sabbath and then searched for their best song. That's how I came to know the existence of "Symptom of the universe".

I like the music. It's not at all weak and I don't think it is getting weak either. Well, it's just my point of view
