“Bond…James Bond…” admit it you said it in that British voice just like in the movie. In case you are new to the whole James Bond era, James Bond is a fictional character who was created originally by Ian Fleming back in 1953. Mr. Bond is a British secret agent who works for MI6. Mr. Bond might be better known by his code name 007. Some of the faces of Bond include Sean Connery, David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig.

The James Bond movie franchise is huge and very successful and you can tell just by how many people will know and understand the phrase we began with today, but let’s take a look at a few other aspects of this franchise that help you to realize just how successful it has become over the years.

The James Bond movies have been coming for 52 years and each time one comes out people get excited to see what adventure Mr. Bond will find himself in this time.

The success of a movie or in this case a franchise isn’t just based on financial gains and figures; it is also measured by the amount of awards the movie or franchise has accumulated over the year. The Bond franchise has been around for over 50 years and in that time period it has won a fair share of awards including the British Academy Film Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and Academy Awards all for a variety of different categories. Some categories include best British art direction, best original song, new star of the year, best original score, and so many more.
