3DS Handheld gaming console

For some time now my friends and family members have been telling me how great the 3DS is if you're a Nintendo gaming type of person. I, not being a Nintendo gaming type person, don't really think that the 3DS would be a type of handheld gaming console for me, if anything I would much rather have a PSP or something of that nature. Either way, I'm here to ask for your opinions and to find out whether or not you guys would recommend the 3DS to me. Why or why not?

Have a bit too big fingers for that...so I really don't like em, but we'll a psp is fun because it has buttons, others that are with touch screen are not worth for me.

I prefer the 3DS over the others made by Sony. The reason being is there are more games for that handheld that I enjoy. The handheld consoles made by Sony don't produce very many games that I'd enjoy playing so it wouldn't be worth it to spend the money on them.
